Chelsea Gorski Halpern
Dean of Student Support Services
Chelsea Halpern is beginning her eighth year as part of the HLA staff. She began as a 5th/6th math/science special education teacher, transitioned to 8th grade ICT (all 4 core subjects), then to gen ed 5th/6th math, and finally into the role of Dean of Student Support Services, which she is beginning her 4th year in the position. Chelsea has a passion for special education and takes great pride in her continued efforts to support instruction for ALL students where students feel successful and able to achieve. She believes that all students deserve a fair and appropriate education where they find joy in learning. Celebrating everyone’s diverse ways of learning and thinking allows everyone to achieve their goals and feel confident in their abilities.
Chelsea has a Masters Degree in Special Education 7-12 from Touro University as well as certification in General Education and Students with Disabilities 1-6. In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, and baking.
