Sabrina Banwait
Director of Curriculum & Instruction
Sabrina Banwait began her career in education working as a teacher in both elementary and middle schools in schools across Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. While these experiences have varied, they have all continued to confirm her commitment to social justice and educational equity. Prior to joining Hebrew Public as an Instructional Leadership Coaching, Sabrina served as a Dean of Instruction and Assistant Principal for charter schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn. These positions gave her the opportunity to work closely with teachers. Through coaching and modeling, she has supported teacher teams in establishing and resetting the bar of excellence for rigorous student-centered instruction for all children. She looks forward to working closely with school leaders in order to share best practices that impact student achievement. Sabrina earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and her Master’s Degree in Teaching from the University of Chicago with the Urban Teacher Education Program.
