Dean of Hebrew Instruction

Rachel Reyz has been with the HLA family since 2011. Throughout the years Rachel has taught Hebrew in all grade levels from K to 8. This year she transitioned to the role of Dean of Hebrew.  Rachel appreciates the many cognitive benefits of learning a second language. She believes that learning Hebrew, Israeli culture, and other cultures around the world are the fundamental requirements to becoming global citizens.

Rachel has a Bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and a Masters degree in Education from Cambridge University. In her spare time Rachel enjoys traveling with her family, reading and drawing.
