Katie Passley
Head of School
Katie Passley, the Head of School, is entering her fifth year with the network, and her fourth year at HLA2. She spent one year at Harlem Hebrew Language Academy before coming to HLA2 as the Director of Math and returning last year as the Assistant Head of School. Katie oversees curriculum implementation, teacher development, and scheduling. She coaches and supports third and fourth-grade teachers, as well as the Literacy Specialist and Floater Teacher.
Katie has 11 years of experience teaching and leading in diverse schools in Tennessee and North Carolina. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from East Tennessee State University and earned a Master’s Degree and an Education Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. At home, she enjoys walks by the water with her husband, daughters, and dog. She believes that relationships between families and schools are key to students’ success in education, and she looks forward to continuing to foster these relationships at HLA2.
