Dorca Casseus
Director of Curriculum & Instruction
Dorca began her journey in education as a passionate 1st-grade teacher with Teach For America, where she laid the foundation for her commitment to literacy and student success. Prior to joining Hebrew Public, Dorca served as the Director of Lower School Literacy at a Brooklyn charter school, where she led transformative initiatives in early literacy instruction. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the prestigious Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College and a Master of Education in childhood education from Hunter College. A National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy, Dorca is also a certified School Building and District Leader in New York State, bringing both expertise and vision to her leadership role in education.
