Before joining Hebrew Public in 2016, Robin was the founding head of school for one of the flagship schools in the Hebrew Public network, which she successfully led through pre-opening to its successful third year. Prior to that, Robin worked in East Meadow Schools as the director of Humanities, where she oversaw the hiring and supervision of more than 120 teachers and administrators across nine schools. She has also worked as a professional developer for a large publishing company and as the coordinator of Literacy and Funded Programs for Copiague Schools, where she oversaw a federally funded budget in excess of $2 million. Robin started her career as a New York City public school teacher, where she spent 13 years as a gifted and talented teacher, reading recovery teacher and elementary classroom teacher. Robin holds MS.Ed degrees from Brooklyn College, Queens College and Bank Street College of Education, in elementary education, supervision and administration and special education leadership. She is working toward her Ed.D in urban and multicultural education from Teachers College at Columbia. Robin’s areas of expertise include instructional leadership, recruiting and developing talent, curriculum design, and professional development. At Hebrew Public, Robin is responsible for creating and implementing an innovative recruitment strategy focused on targeting high-quality staff and leaders. Additionally, she is creating and implementing systems for on-boarding, supporting, and developing staff.
